The Leadman Plant Operator provides direction and expertise for the work group on daily operations for slag and material processing and equipment of plant maintenance.

Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 5 am - 5 pm Benefits Competitive pay Tuition Assistance/Reimbursement Comprehensive Benefit Plan Development Opportunities Responsibilities The Leadman Plant Operator will:
Plans, prioritizes and schedules work Assigns tasks to team members Ensures that assigned work is completed correctly and on schedule Ensures that workforce has the resources to perform assigned work Identifies and resolves problems associated with the daily functions of the operation Acts as backup in the supervisor's absence Provides employee performance feedback to the supervisor Contacts appropriate maintenance personnel if plant or equipment require immediate maintenance or repair Enforces safety protocols and conducts safety observations Enforces environmental protocols Performs pre and post operation inspections of plant and mobile equipment Operates mobile equipment to feed the plant Manages the startup and shut down process for the plant, conveyors and related components Determines proper settings for crusher and feeder Monitors the plant to ensure proper operations Adjusts the plant based on production and plant performance data Checks stockpiles to ensure product quality Maintains housekeeping of yard and plant Ensures material production schedule is maintained Mixes material to desired consistency Monitors air emissions and takes appropriate corrective action Determines timing and controls watering of stockpiles Ensures preventive maintenance and repairs are made on plant, secondary structures, related maintenance tools and safety equipment Diagnoses and repairs equipment malfunctions Interfaces with customer Uses two-way radio to communicate with mill personnel and other site personnel Recordkeeping Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have:
